The party season will officially kick off in less than 3 weeks, how exciting! I have been lately really enjoying warm evenings cozying up under my favorite wool blanket (mine is from Flink, check their website, it is really nice). It is chilly out there so nothing is more comforting than just taking it very easy, isn’t it?
Ok, back to beauty now. Since Christmas and NYE’s celebrations are on their way, I thought I would do a special post to help you to preparing your skin for these glam occasions!
So I have compiled the top 4 beauty tips to help your skin to be at its best for the festivities.
1- Make the scrub+mask session a priority
This result-driven session will restore skin glow by clarifying and brightening the skin. Once a week, just massage a gentle scrub onto cleansed skin to remove dead cells and improve the skin texture. I particularly love the Kimberly Sayer gentle scrub* (review HERE), suitable for sensitive skins. Follow-up with a brightening mask. The radiance mask from Kahina is rich and nurturing perfect for normal to dry skin while the Rossi intense rejuvenation Rose & Pink clay mask is the perfect match to combi/oily skins (review HERE).
2- Green your diet
Along with great skincare habits, a balanced diet is crucial in order to achieve skin radiance from the inside-out. This is even truer at this time of the year before the 2-week overindulgence coming up. Your goal: flushing the toxins and bringing on skin glow! Best is to invite lots of dark leafy veggies on your plate: they are loaded with vitamins and anti-oxidants and are top to purify the body and skin. My favorite picks are Watercress, Spinach, and Chards (I struggle with Kale’s taste, to be honest, but if you like it, go for it!).
3- Don’t forget the eyes
Eyes are the mirrors of the soul … isn’t? Tired eyes can really make anyone look exhausted so make sure to use an eye cream that will address the first signs of aging but also brighten and lift the area. I have been using the Mad Hippie eye cream for months now and really like it. But if you want a targeted eye product specifically designed for tired eyes, then go for the Madara Smart anti-fatigue eye rescue cream * that smoothes away dark circles and hydrates the eye contour.
4- Focus on the right products
Choose concentrated skincare products with potent anti-aging and healing ingredients, because ingredients matter. Go for vitamin A-rich Cacay oil (review HERE) if your skin needs some serious regeneration boost. A vitamin C serum is also a good pick as Vitamin C is known to illuminate the skin and boost collagen production. I have tried the Mad Hippie Vit C serum (review HERE). I have my eyes on a couple of other potent skin loving serums such as the Soothing serum from Marie Veronique and the Aeos energizing conditioner. It is all about choosing effective products and achieving maximum results in minimum time!
