It’s sunblock season and hopefully we all know that conventional SPF’s are not only toxic for us, but also toxic for our beautiful coral reefs. That said, it’s important to make sure that you and the fam are suited up in a pure, organic sunblock that causes no stress on the environment..or on your health. I’ve been testing out super-nourishing OrganiBlock SPF 30 and I know you’ll love it…plus, it’s child and baby-friendly! Use code: TOXINFREE for 20% off for a limited time.
This is some serious SPF with many benefits. I love that OrganiBlock sun protection not only protects you from the sun with an SPF of 30, but it also helps to nourish skin with super moisturizing organic ingredients, stimulate collagen and elastin, deliver vitamins and antioxidants, help to reduce signs of aging skin and leave the skin looking hydrated without a greasy look or feel to it. I also love that this SPF is reef safe so there’s no harm done to the environment. I recommend rubbing this sunblock into the skin really well so as to reap all of the healthy skin benefits and and also so you leave no white cast. It’s recommended that you re-apply after 40 minutes of swimming and after towel-drying.
SCENT + FEEL
The first thing you’ll notice about OrganiBlock SPF 30 is the fresh, bright scent. I smell the uplifting scent of Lemongrass, Sweet Orange Oil and Vanilla…yum! OrganiBlock has a citrus scent to it…not that typical coconut beach scent that everyone puts into their SPFs. This SPF has a matte texture and won’t leave the skin looking greasy. OrganiBlock feels really moisturizing, which is a great look for exposed skin as we know. I recommend rubbing this sunblock into the skin really well so there’s no white cast and it’s recommended that you apply after 40 minutes of swimming and after towel-drying.
First off, many conventional sunblocks contain water and lots of inexpensive filler ingredients, harmful chemicals and fragrances. OrganiBlock does not contain any water, so it’s highly concentrated and contains only high-quality organic oils and waxes, natural raw beeswax, and pharmaceutical food grade pure zinc oxide. Using a sunblock with organic, pure ingredients is super important (especially since we’re going to be sitting in the sun, taking it all in). I was really impressed with their ingredients as there’s so many of the heavy hitters in green beauty: coconut oil, Rose hip, wild carrot seed oil, jojoba, pomegranate, avocado, purified beeswax and cranberry seed oil. The thing that I love the most is that these ingredients are what you’re most likely to find in a luxe serum or balm, not an SPF, so you’re getting a skin treatment while you’re protecting your skin.
